  1. May 01,  · His top 3 albums are "Physical Graffiti", "Led Zeppelin I" and IV. It was only in that I bought and listened to ITTOD for the first time and it became my 2nd favourite album, with "Presence" in 1st place and "Physical Graffiti" in third place! I am just so damn glad that I had the balls to take a 'risk' and purchase that album!!
  2. All in all this is a good album by the group and has enough to offer the Led Zeppelin fan that it should provide some good listening. Recommended along with II (), III (), IV (or ZoSo) (), Houses of the Holy () and Physical Graffiti.

  5. Editors’ Notes Cut in 18 days as Robert Plant recovered from a serious car accident — he was forced to sing from a wheelchair — Presence is the most underappreciated of Led albums but nonetheless shows that even a rushed Zep could turn in convincingly soaring (“Achilles Last Stand”), thumping (“Nobody’s Fault But Mine”) and playful (“Royal Orleans”) stuff.
  6. Royal Orleans - This song is about a certain member of Led Zeppelin, most likely John Paul Jones, who ends up taking home a drag queen. Royal Orleans itself was a favored hotel of the band. The song starts out with a powerful riff, and is certainly not the norm for Led Zeppelin. Alright song, but like For Your Life it repeats itself. 3/5 4.

  8. Created at a time of intense turmoil for Led Zeppelin -- they scrapped a planned international tour in the wake of Robert Plant 's car accident in Greece in August -- Presence is a strange, misshapen beast of a record that pulls upon its own tension. With Plant somewhat on the sidelines -- he recorded many of the vocals while in a wheelchair -- Jimmy Page reasserted himself as the primary creative force .
